Where are facial plastic & laser surgery procedures performed?
Dr. Hecht performs surgical procedures at any one of four locations – St. Joseph Hospital, Pacific Rim Outpatient Surgery Center, Bellingham Surgery Center, or at Whatcom Surgery Center which is located in our office.

What are the costs and payment options?
Our fees conform to those of certified specialists in plastic surgery in this area. You are entitled to know the anticipated cost of any treatment or surgical procedure, and we are happy to discuss the information with you during your consultation appointment.

Will insurance cover the cost of the procedure?
As a general rule, cosmetic and elective procedures are not covered by insurance. Therefore, you are responsible for a deposit when your surgery is scheduled, and the full balance should be paid two weeks prior to the scheduled surgery date. The office accepts VISA, MasterCard, personal checks, and cash.

When insurance does cover a procedure, we will prepare and submit insurance claim forms for you. However, we are not responsible for collecting your insurance claim or for negotiating a settlement on disputed claims.

How soon will I see results?
Complete recovery from facial and plastic laser surgery may take several weeks. However, most swelling and/or bruising resulting from your procedure will dissipate within two weeks. The Skin Care Center located at the Centre can assist you with camouflaging techniques to help disguise post-operative swelling so you can return to work after a recovery period.
