Dr. R. Emil Hecht, M.D., Director

Dr. Hecht graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and was named outstanding intern in his class. He subsequently graduated from the Naval Aerospace Medical institute before completing his residency and staff work at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Hecht achieved board certification in 1975 and formed Bellingham Ear, Nose & Throat and the Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery. He is currently an assistant clinical professor at UW School of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and past officer of Northwest Academy of Otolaryngology. He teaches and takes many medical continuing education courses annually.

For over 30 years, Dr. Hecht has had extensive and successful experience in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Hecht strives for compassionate care for his patients, and works diligently to find solutions for their individual needs. He is innovative and pays meticulous attention to detail. Dr. Hecht individualizes patient-centered care for each of those he serves, and practices comprehensive, natural health methods that facilitate integrated conventional medicine with complimentary treatments. He directs the "state of the art" Hecht Aesthetic Center.

Amy Classen, Clinical Aesthetician

Amy Classen is a licensed Clinical Aesthetician at The Hecht Aesthetic Center, a division of Bellingham Ear, Nose and Throat. Over the past thirteen years Ms. Classen has worked with a variety of companies in the skin care and cosmetic industry. Amy is certified in Laser Hair Removal, Skin Rejuvenation, Skin Tightening, Cellulite Reduction Therapy, Chemical Peels, and Microdermabrasion.

At the center, Amy will consult privately with each patient or client. Based on individual skin type and condition, a customized skin care regime and treatment plan will be created. According to the needs, lifestyle and goals of each person, a treatment may include Microdermabrasion and appropriate peel. Amy believes a healthy complexion is attainable and anyone can have beautiful skin with proper skin care, sun protection and guidance.

Christopher Stacey, P.A.-C.M.M.S., Physician Assistant

Mr. Stacey is a nationally certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), graduating with honors in 2000, and then earning a Master's Degree in Medical Science (M.M.S.). He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. As a practicing P.A. for over five years, Christopher is a seasoned professional. He assists in the clinic, at St. Joseph's Hospital, and during surgery for both the Bellingham ENT and The Hecht Aesthetic Center. Mr. Stacey is known for his thoroughness, attention to detail and gentle touch. He takes pride in listening to the patient's concerns. His knowledge of alternative medicine and anatomy set him apart from other providers.

He has been awarded injection certification from Allergan (Botox®), inamed (Collagen), and Medicis (Restylane®). Mr. Stacey specializes in injectable procedures, gaining recognition as one of the area's top Botox® and Restylane® providers. He prides himself on "natural looking" outcomes: and enjoys working with patients to achieve the results they desire. Mr. Stacey also performs PENS treatments, Vascutouch lesion and vascular therapy treatments.

Katy Denooyer, CMA, Light & Laser Specialist

Ms. Denooyer is an honor graduate from the Whatcom Community College Medical Assisting Program and is a certified Medical Assistant, active in the Whatcom Country Chapter Association of Medical Assistants. She received her state aesthetician license after graduating from Evergreen Beauty and Barber College.

Ms. Denooyer is our highly trained Light & Laser Specialist, who is the absolute best in the Northwest for laser hair removal, Fotofacial IPL treatment, wrinkle reduction, Vascutouch and other LED and Biotherapeutic treatment options. Katy is very nurturing, kind, gentle, and extremely thorough. She has been doing various laser treatments for the Center since 2000.
